Perhaps my favourite paintings of the whole Monumental Nobodies series, Home of the Free, has been selected as one of the 30 finalists in the $10,000 Bluethumb Art Prize. It will be exhibited at No Vacancy Gallery at 34-40 Jane Bell Lane, Melbourne from 20 January - 29 January

With 1140 artists submitting exclusive originals, this new prize is bigger than the Archibald. The exhibition was selected by an eclectic judging panel of 12 industry experts, including Penny Griggs, General Manager of SALA (South Australian Living Artists Festival); June Mills, Indigenous music star, visual artist and traditional owner of Larrakia land; and qualified art curator (and Real Housewives of Melbourne star) Gina Liano.
