For many, the idealised corporate dream is a corner “office” with picture window. The path winds ever upwards, switching back on itself. This journey can be interpreted in numerous ways. Is this a desirable, worthy and ultimately rewarding path? Or does the empty room suggest that such physical rewards are hollow tokens? Perhaps the corner office is merely a corporate trinket that masks a more profound yet unseen journey, such as the economic benefits provided to society by the industrious. Or is this an internal journey in which the emptiness hints at the self-reliance, determination and sacrifice that so characterise the ambitious?
