Multi-Tasking
2016 Oil on Italian Linen 120x100cm
On the whole the Greek Gods had a rollicking good time (unless of course you were chained to a rock having your liver pecked out daily). But Hercules was in a class of his own.
Extraordinary strength, courage, ingenuity and sexual prowess with both males and females were among his characteristics. And he worked too. Famously at his 12 labours. Including amongst them was slaying the nine-headed Lernaean Hydra. And a spot of cleaning in the Augean stables (this one he can’t have liked either, as he demanded payment: beheadings he did for free, cleaning not so much... men, huh?)
But imagine how much more he might have achieved had he multi-tasked. Then he might have really made a name for himself.
Oh wait, right.
